This video taken over Easter in 2011 shows an Accucraft live steam 16mm model of a NG15 with a rake of prototypically correct SAR narrow gauge wagons. The layout was Umkhulu Modules the story behind which is told under the layout section of the website.
One of my favourite locos – a LGB Mallet. Brilliant sound for public displays.
A Blackstone HOn3 K27 on John Burkhard’s layout in Johannesburg. The loco was visiting Dr John to have a new motor fitted arising from a manufacturing issue (over lubrication resulting in oil leaking on to the armature. The lesson is run your locos regularly!)
Not sure what the loco was but the video was taken at Guildford Model Engineering Society’s layout in April 2015. This club should be on your itinerary the next time you visit the UK. There is a range of layouts which will suit most tastes.

An Accucraft 16mm live steam Garratt (NGG16) on Umkhulu Modules in May 2010. Although regaugeable to 45mm the loco is running on the prototypically correct 32mm track.
